It’s Memorial Day!

Many thanks and praises to the soldiers of America who have lost their lives fighting to keep the good ole US of A safe and sound.

On this day, along with Cajun barbecues, lots of moonshine and deeper darker tan lines we welcome our main bitch, Summer!

Now that she’s here, she’s here to stay, especially in NOLA.  As the heat rises here in the south, lighter weight clothes in seersucker, chambray and linen take a leading role. There’s also more skin with denim cutoffs, silk and eyelet garments keeping the body’s access to a breeze up and body heat down. With layering out of the question, and once fun heavy metaled jewelry taking a backseat, one must find new ways to accessorize. As always, you know The Revival Outpost got you boo.

Bring on the shade!

Sunglasses, Shades, Hater Blockers, Sunnies, any way you want to call em, fashionable sunglasses are the must have this summer.  Gone are the days where your sunglasses simply protected your eyes from UV rays and prevented the stink-eye effect in photos. Sunglasses now are stand out pieces in just about everyone’s ensembles.

It’s NOLA Fashion Week!

New Orleans is known for the music, we’re sought after for our food, people come down to experience the culture. But underneath the tourist must-haves there is unexpected talent in the fashion industry.  NOLA Fashion Week is a bi-annual event put on to support Southern based or born designers and help the fashion industry in New Orleans flourish. This Fall/Winter 2014 season is March 14-22nd.

The venues are always sick.

The designers are unique, concrete and usually hone a heavy Southern flare.
