Sunday Funday

Sundays are the best. You can wake up late, be lazy around the house in your favorite set of PJ’s, read or watercolor or do whatever the hell else you want whilst ignoring the impending doom of the Monday blues.

Sundays are also great for makin’ stuff with friends!

I was scrolling around on Pinterest finding the most delicious summer treats to make with some friends this morning. Obviously popsicles are my favorite. Not only do the look beautiful, but they’re delicious, and the oooonly thing I want with me while I take a dip in the pool.

….except for a daiquiri.

Here are some of my favorite summer popsicles!

Blood Orange Margarita Popsicles. Need I say more?

This is an Iced Coffee popsicle. Can we talk about how much I need this? Like now.

Coke Float is probably the best thing that ever happened to a popsicle.

Raspberry Cheesecake Pops! It’s an ice cream cake on a stick!

“Firecracker” – Berry Yogurt Pop. zoooomg.

And one more with a little kick!

Strawberry Champagne for the win. This is the first that I will be trying.

On this gloomy Sunday all I want to do is cuddle up with a good book and a cat.

Anybody down for some girl talks?

Or hot chocolate?

This is lavender hot chocolate (hot chocolate + lavender ice cream from Whole Foods.) You bet your ass we’re trying this recipe out now.

Speaking of good books, if you read this post then you are aware of my obsession with war photography. I’ve been reading Alan Huffman’s book on war photographer Tim Hetherington.

It’s killer.

(awkward pun not intended)

The writing is brilliant. It really allows you to dive into the pages, immersing yourself in the blood-stained Libyan terrain. Hetherington unfortunately died in a mortar blast while covering the Libyan Civil War, but his story is inspiring and tells of the courage, risks, and thrills of war reporting.

While most war photographers captured men in actual combat, Hetherington’s talents were found in capturing rarely seen moments. He showed the humanity within war. I think that’s why I love his work so much.

Sunday Mornings

I can’t wait to share some great things with you guys!

We interviewed our good friend Abby O’Sullivan over the weekend and are going to feature her this week, so look forward to that!

She’s a costume designer but has worn many different hats in her life.

Just an all around inspiring, creative boss lady.

For now, scroll through the hundreds of Guy Catling images with me. I’m hooked.

He’s a graphic designer from Essex and his work is quite possibly my favorite thing ever at the moment.
